Meal Prep Final Boss?

As a Flight Attendant, it’s essential for me to meal prep to help maintain a healthy diet. Not only can airport food be unhealthy but it’s also incredibly expensive. I flew with someone a few months ago and he reached the final boss level of meal prepping with freezer meals. So I HAD to try it. With this meal prep, I only spent $125 from shopping BOGO deals at Publix (I LOVE Publix). I created 3 different meals so we wouldn’t get bored of eating the same thing. Each meal was delicious, incredibly easy to make and took about 30 minutes per meal.

Meal One: Turkey Bowl w/ Zucchini & Carrots

Meal Two: Turkey Sausage Pasta

Meal Three: Grilled Chicken, Green Beans & Sweet Potatoes.

HOW TO MAKE MEAL ONE:

To be honest, the turkey bowl was my favorite meal out of all 3 options. It was filling and the sauce I drizzle on top was the perfect touch. Will I be making this recipe again? Absolutely!

HOW TO MAKE MEAL TWO:

Although this meal was my least favorite of the three, it was the easiest to make. The Botticelli Alla Vodka pasta sauce is my all time favorite store bought pasta sauce. The only thing I would change about this recipe is adding a vegetable. I think that would’ve turned it up a notch.

HOW TO MAKE MEAL THREE:

This meal is an old faithful! You can’t go wrong with this if you want a well balance diet. Sweet potatoes are known to be high in fiber and great for your gut health. I usually eat this meal for dinner because it’s super light.

1LB- 50 Pack w/ Board Lids

I ordered 50, one pound aluminum containers and these are the perfect size to fit multiple meals in my lunch box.

I know you’re probably wondering how I warm up the meals on the plane. Easy, there are ovens on each aircraft to cook 1st class meals. If there isn’t a meal service on the flight, I put my freezer meal in the oven to cook for 20 minutes. So once I’m done serving snacks & cokes in main cabin, my meal is hot & ready for my mini break.

So, do you plan on trying freezer meals for meal prep?
